Vandalism happening in Valley Street

Vandalism happening in Valley Street.

Recently, there had been a few reported cases of cars within Valley Street being vandalised by people which are yet to be identified. Cars are left with scratches on the doors or the front and back of the car, some had broken windows and some having dents like the picture below.

These vandalism acts must not be overlooked no matter how small the damage caused. These incidents will most likely continue occur until the people responsible are caught but until then, if you do not wish these problems to happen to you, you can follow some of these advice to reduce the chances of becoming the victim.
  •          Park your car in a well-lit and populated area.

This is because it makes it harder for people to vandalise your car without being seen thus discouraging them making it less likely for the people responsible for the vandalism to target your car as they do not want to be caught.
  •            Investing in a high-quality security alarm.

This may help because it also discourages the people responsible for the vandalism to target your car as they are afraid that they might be caught because someone nearby heard the alarm go off.
  •           Security surveillance systems.

A well placed security camera can most of the time serve as enough of a warning to people that they can be identified if they decide to vandalise your car. This keeps them from targeting your car as they do not want to be caught.

Though following these steps may help in the current situation, it is not a 100% guarantee that it will not still happen thus, it is important that we all play a part in bringing these people to justice as soon as possible so as to reduce the amount of damage caused. If you spot anyone that looks suspicious for example wearing something that may block their identity or has possession of anything that can be used to vandalise such as a pocket knife, do not engage the person directly, but contact the police at once. If you want to take a bigger step in helping with the situation, you can petrol around the area in your free time and report any suspicious people to the police, again to not engage the person directly if he or she is in possession of something dangerous. Please help play a part in keeping the neighborhood safe for everyone! Thank You for your time!
